San Diego County Crime Stoppers Inc. overcomes these challenges by providing citizens a safe way to anonymously report crime and rewards citizens for tips leading to a felony arrest.
In 1999, San Diego County Crime Stoppers Inc. partnered with the San Diego Unified School District to establish a Campus Crime Stoppers program in all of their middle and high schools. Campus Crime Stoppers empowers students to do the right thing and create a safe environment for learning. Then in 2010, the program was rebranded and restructured into Students Speaking Out. To date, the program has been introduced in over 150 schools throughout San Diego County.
Over the past 30 years, San Diego County Crime Stoppers has evolved from a good idea to a strong and vital presence in San Diego. Crime Stoppers remains a nonprofit, charitable organization supported by responsible individuals and businesses that want to make San Diego safer.
