Suspect Wanted for Felony Hit and Run

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the vehicle and driver that fled the scene of a traffic collision leaving a bicyclist with serious injuries in the Rancho Penasquitos area of San Diego.
On Sunday, July 14, 2024, at about 8:43 a.m., a 60-year-old female was riding a bicycle eastbound in the 13100 block of Rancho Penasquitos Boulevard. She was struck by a vehicle that was travelling in the same direction. The impact caused the rider to lose control and crash. The vehicle continued eastbound on Rancho Penasquitos Boulevard towards the I-15 freeway.
The victim suffered numerous injuries including a fractured neck and multiple brain bleeds. The victim was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.
Vehicle Description
The vehicle was described as a beige or dark tan colored mid-sized Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV).

Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case.
