San Diego County Crime Stoppers along with Detectives from the California Highway Patrol
(CHP) Border Division Major Crimes Unit are asking for the public’s help in identifying and
locating the suspect(s) responsible for the murder of 50-year-old Tyrice Lamar Jacquett.
The California Highway Patrol’s (CHP) Border Division Major Crimes Unit opened a murder
investigation after a body was discovered late afternoon on Sunday, August 27, 2023. This
incident occurred at a homeless encampment located south of the eastbound SR-94, adjacent
to North Avenue between Harris Street and Citrus Street in the City of Lemon Grove.
An autopsy was conducted on Monday, August 28, 2023, and determined the manner of death
to be homicide.
